Regardez is a dark bay Hanoverian Stallion. Imported from Germany in December 2002, Regardez brings with him to Canada the legendary bloodlines of Rubinstein and Fruehling.
Regardez's sire, Regazzoni by Rubinstein, was Reserve Champion Young Riding Horse of Germany in 1995 and won the title of the Best five year old Dressage Horse in 1996. Besides being heavily in demand as a breeding stallion, Regazzoni is also currently competing at FEI Level Intermediaire.
Regardez's dam, Fernet by Fruehlingsball, just as his sire Regazzoni, goes back to one of the most successful mare lines in history, producing the Olympic Dressage Horses: Rembrandt, Ahlerich, and Amon.
Regardez was licensed and approved for breeding by the Oldenburg Association in 1998 and in the following year completed his 100-Day Test in Muenster, Westphalia, with an overall index of 116.0 pts. His high marks (All 9s!) for rideability, temperament, and willingness to work, contributed to a remarkable dressage index of 128.4 pts, finishing third.
At several Mare and Foal Shows in Westphalia, Regardez's first foals were commended on having classy, elegant types, with powerful movement from behind and very pretty faces. They are anxiously awaited in the Young Riding Horse Competitions in 2004. |
